Hey Woodworking Family,
As Father’s Day approaches, I find myself reminiscing about the countless projects my kids and I tackled together when they were little. One memory that stands out is when my sons decided they wanted to build a hunting shed/hangout in the woods. They were so young, full of enthusiasm and curiosity, and eager to take on such a big project.
With a little guidance from me, they jumped into the challenge. They framed the structure, cut the sheet metal, and even built the trusses, all with minimal help. I watched with pride as they figured things out, learning from each mistake and celebrating each success. It wasn’t just about building a shed; it was about teaching them perseverance, problem-solving, and the joy of creating something with their own hands.
Seeing their determination and ingenuity at such a young age was a reminder of why teaching our children practical skills is so crucial. These moments of learning and growth have stayed with them, shaping who they are today.
